Animal Emergency Critical Care Associates utilizes the latest equipment and diagnostics to treat critically ill and injured pets. In addition to the services listed below, AECCA has active collaboration with board-certified specialists in Cardiology, Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, CT/MRI, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dentistry and Oral Surgery, and Internal Medicine, for optimal patient care.
Ultrasonography: Provides fast and accurate imaging of most major organs.
Doppler blood-pressure monitoring: Used to monitor blood flow acoustically and for blood-pressure measurements using an inflatable cuff.
Endoscopy: The endoscope is a thin, flexible lighted tube used to examine your pet for abnormalities such as ulcers that might not appear on x-rays.
Ocular tonometry: Used to measure pressure within the eye and determine the presence of glaucoma.
Blood-gas monitoring: Ensures that your pet has enough oxygen in his/her blood.
Oxygen therapy: Provides high concentrations of oxygen to pets, particularly those with heart and lung disease.
In-House laboratory: Provides real-time diagnosis. Tests we can perform in-house include: blood chemistry, electrolytes, hematocrite levels, complete blood cell (CBC) count, blood clotting times, blood gasses, and more.

CT/MRI: We have a CT/MRI scanner available in-house as a resource to our doctors. CT/MRI scans provide a 3-D view of your pet, helping doctors see things in a way that flat radiographs can't.

Digital Radiography: The ability to take a digital x-ray allows the doctors and technicians to have immediate observation of x-rays, rather than the more timely, older conventional x-ray machines.

Ventilator Therapy: Available for animals with severe lung, thoracic or cervical trauma or neurologic disease.
Blood Transfusions: Having blood products in-house saves time and lives. We are able to provide packed red blood cells and plasma for cats and dogs, as well as a platelet concentrate for dogs.

Continuous Patient Care and Monitoring: Our intensive care unit is staffed by doctors and licensed veterinary technicians 24/7/365. Each patient receives specific care based on the orders from our doctors, and a licensed vet tech is always present in the ICU.

Pain Management & Control: Our doctors use up-to-date pain management protocols; Syringe pumps allow us to deliver constant-rate infusions of pain medication for steady and consistent pain control.

Fluid Therapy: A variety of intravenous fluids are available to meet your pet's needs. In addition, we have a variety of IV pumps to deliver fluids and medications accurately.
